Copy.ai pricing in 2026: the self-serve ladder collapsed to one $29 plan
What the pricing page shows today
Read on 30 August 2026, with both positions of the billing toggle captured, copy.ai/prices displays two columns and nothing else.
The first is Chat. It is priced at $29 per month billed monthly, with a note that annual billing saves 20 percent. Its feature list is short and unusually generous in one specific way: it includes five seats, unlimited words in chat, unlimited chat projects, and access to models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini. Most writing tools in this category price per seat. Copy.ai's surviving self-serve plan prices a small team.
The second column is Enterprise. There is no number on it. The call to action is "Get a custom demo," and the feature list opens with a phrase worth reading carefully: all Advanced features, plus. Then it lists guided jumpstart implementation, API access and bulk workflow runs, more than twenty tech integrations, unlimited customisable workflows, a designated account and support team, and enterprise grade security protocols.
That phrase matters because it tells you Advanced has not been deleted. It still exists inside Copy.ai's own description of its product. What has gone is its price.
The ladder that collapsed
Here are the two ladders side by side. The left column is what this network recorded in June 2026 on our Jasper and Copy.ai comparison. The right is what the pricing page displayed on 30 August 2026. Both columns are drawn to the same scale, with the $186 Advanced tier setting the top of it.

One self-serve rung, then a sales call
Chat is $29 billed monthly, five seats included, with 20 percent off for annual billing. Enterprise is described as all Advanced features plus its own additions.
Two rungs vanished from the public page, and the range they covered, roughly $36 to $186 a month, is now unpriced territory. If your requirement sits above chat and below a procurement conversation, the pricing page no longer tells you what that costs.
What $29 works out to per seat
The seat inclusion is the part most summaries drop, and it changes the arithmetic completely. Chat is not $29 per person. It is $29 for a plan that carries five seats.
Self-serve plans on Copy.ai's pricing page
Chat is the only priced plan. Everything above it routes to a demo booking rather than a checkout, so the single self-serve decision left is monthly against annual.
Filled to capacity, the per seat cost lands well below the tier prices this category usually quotes.
Effective cost per seat per month on monthly billing, dividing the flat $29 plan price by the number of seats actually in use. The bar length is the cost per seat, so it shortens as the plan fills.
This is the one place where a solo operator and a five person team are paying genuinely different prices for the same product. A single user pays $29 for one seat. A team of five pays $5.80 each. Nothing about the plan changes between those two cases, which means the plan rewards filling it and quietly penalises the solo buyer who cannot.
Compare that to what we recorded in June. Pro was $36 a month billed annually for up to five seats, which was $7.20 per seat. Today's annual figure, $23.20 a month for the same five seats, is $4.64 per seat. On a fully filled plan the per seat price fell by $2.56, a drop of about 36 percent, over roughly two months.
What the annual toggle is worth
Because there is only one priced plan, the annual discount is now the entire self-serve pricing decision. The page advertises a 20 percent saving.

Sixty nine dollars and sixty cents a year is a real saving but a small commitment either way, which is the point of a collapsed ladder. The pricing page is no longer trying to move you between tiers. It is trying to move you from monthly to annual, and after that from self-serve to sales.
What the Chat plan actually includes
The feature list is short enough to quote in full, and the shape of it is more informative than the length.

Everything on the left is consumption inside a chat interface. Everything on the right is automation, integration and governance. That is the actual product boundary, and it is a cleaner one than the old three tier ladder drew. Copy.ai has stopped selling degrees of writing volume and started selling the difference between a person typing and a system running.
The models line is worth flagging separately. Access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini models is listed as part of the $29 plan. If you are comparing against paying for those directly, note that a single ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro subscription is a per person cost, while this is a five seat plan.
Why the tier above has no price
Unpriced enterprise tiers are normal. What is less normal is an unpriced tier sitting directly on top of a $29 plan with nothing in between. In June the gap between the cheap rung and the sales conversation was bridged by Advanced at $186. That bridge is gone from the page.
For a buyer this has one practical consequence. If what you need is API access or bulk workflow runs, there is no longer a published number you can put in a budget before you talk to someone. You can still find out, but the route is a demo booking rather than a pricing page, and the price you are quoted is not one this article or any other can verify for you in advance.

No free tier appeared on copy.ai/prices when we read it, in either billing toggle position. We want to be precise about what that does and does not mean. It means the public pricing page did not display one on 30 August 2026. It is not a claim that no free access exists anywhere in the product, through a trial, or through a route not shown on that page.
It matters because a lot of advice about Copy.ai, including this network's own Jasper and Copy.ai comparison as it was written in June 2026, treats a free start as one of the reasons to pick it. If your plan was to trial it at zero cost before committing, check the current page first rather than trusting a recommendation written earlier in the year, including ours.
That comparison set is worth naming, because the free start was the differentiator against tools that never had one.
